Today’s students are tomorrow’s workforce:  Educator in the Workplace programs offer educators the experiences necessary to develop an understanding of diverse career options and workplace competencies.

Educator in the Workplace programs offer educators the experiences necessary to develop an understanding of diverse career options and workplace competencies. Two language arts instructors participated in the joint VAM USA / Vallourec Star program facilitated through the Mahoning County (Ohio) Educational Service Center. The program pairs teachers with local manufacturing facilities to bridge the gap and educate students on careers in manufacturing.

For one week in June, Emily Rudolph, 12th Grade Language Arts instructor of East Palestine High School and Leigh Ann Martin, 5th Grade Language Arts language Arts instructor of West Branch Middle School shadowed Vallourec employees in all functions– among them included safety, operations, quality and human resources.
Three primary objectives of the Educator in Workplace program are:
